Liz and the Sky

This is the Sky. Liz didn't like the sky. She thought the sky was boring. We went to PS1 in Queens and went to the James Turrell room on the top floor. Turrell works with light and what he did with this particular piece, was to cut a hole in the roof, and make really tight edges around the cuts so you can't see the thickness of the roof. It's really amazing what this accomplishes, it creates a painting of the sky. It's surreal to sit in there and look up at the sky. You can almost forget what you're looking at until a bird flies by or the sounds of the elevated 7 train float in.
