How to build Cathedrals

A piece I saw in Austin. An installation by a Brazilian Artist, Cildo Meireles, critiquing the Missionaries in Colonial times and their attempts to convert the indigenous Tupi-Guarani people. He built a contemporary "Cathedral" of pennies linked to cattle bones by communion wafers to expose the link between the creation of wealth to agricultural exploitation, suggesting that "the conquest of the Americas was as much about economics as it was about religion or saving souls".
